The square for the third week is another stunning design by Tatsiana Kupryianchyk this time from www.lillabjorncrochet.com , this design should represent the sunset over the waves and involves using cluster stitch and front post trebles to produce a textured and visually evocative square. I learnt quite a lot making this square as my experience of using front post trebles to create a design was non existent! But using the the amazing videos made by Esther from itsallinanutshell I got the hang of it reasonably smoothly, and it was nice to feel each square getting slightly easier as my skill progressed 🙂
My dancing under the stars square in merino soft was in Gauguin (619) a beautiful burnt orange colour that I would like to use again somewhere, this colour actually made me think of orange sunsets so avery appropriate choice of colour, I used a 5mm hook to get the correct size (19x19cm) on this square . For my dancing in the sea blanket I’m using ColourCrafter and this weeks colour was Dokkum (1302), a calming blue which beautifully evokes the sea theme in this square, I used a 4.5mm hook for this 18x18cm square .
